Accelerating Clean Tech through Venture Capital

GE Energy Financial Services is one of the most active venture capital investors in emerging technology companies worldwide. With 20 companies in its portfolio, from pipeline coatings to smart grid meters to small wind turbines that can fit in a residential backyard, GE deploys capital in a sector that stands to deliver big rewards: financially, technologically and environmentally.

On October 14, 2009, GE Energy Financial Services and the GE Research Center hosted media at GE’s Global Research Headquarters in Niskayuna, New York. The day focused on the many ways in which GE financially and technologically supports emerging companies, delivering on its 125-year legacy of energy innovation, dating back to Thomas Edison.
